Chase Hotline / 2012
severe storm forecasting services from Norman, Oklahoma by Tim Vasquez
UPDATE / March 19, 2012
Hello, clients and visitors!
Normal subscriptions.
Because of the vast proliferation in mobile Internet data (certainly a great thing), this has made it uneconomical for me to offer
traditional Chase Hotline subscriptions. We saw our biggest years in 2003 and 2004 with about 100 clients annually, but with so
much data and information out there and a stagnant economy that lightened many chasers' wallets, our numbers gradually dwindled
to a small core of those who mostly wanted
my expertise and second opinions, rather than a second set of eyes. As much as I enjoy forecasting, forecasting 10 hours a day for all of May and
part of June for a relatively small amount of money did not make financial sense. So once again this year I will be focusing on select
days for VIP clients and on my other writing and contracting projects.
VIP services.
The VIP service will continue to exist, with hours of 9 am to 6 pm CDT. This will be made available on a pay-as-you-go basis: $100 per day
if you are the only client chasing; but discounted to $70 per day if other VIP clients are out. A half rate will also apply if you need only
a morning forecast with no phone support or afternoon updates (though I may occasionally provide this if I get a chance to follow the situation).
If you are interested in booking a VIP account, contact me and we will get this set up.
Forecast School.
I strongly invite you to come out to a Forecast School class. I've stacked up 15 of these classes for the Spring 2012 season
at the world's quintessential severe weather capital: Norman, Oklahoma. Best of all, on select days we'll be operating as a weather center and
you can join in on watching and practicing mesoanalysis as a real chase day unfolds. For information on all this, please visit:

Note that coverage is sporadic after 2005 since forecasts were issued on demand rather than as a daily product.

Chase Hotline announcements list
If you don't have any plans to buy services but want to keep track of what's new with Chase Hotline services,
subscribe to our announcements list. Your e-mail address is kept private and we will not send anything to the
address unless it concerns the Chase Hotline.
If you are using NoScript, it will correctly warn you about a cross-site scripting attempt since this subscription
request does have to be passed through the mail server at Dreamhost; if you see such a warning,
you are perfectly safe; just click "Reload Unsafe" at the top of the page and the subscription will go through.
